The X-pax from Celcom is one of the hottest mobile prepaid package in the country. Celcom is one of the major telco company which provide varieties of telecommunication services. The prepaid starter pack is sold at a reasonable price (please check your local dealer).
The prepaid starter pack usually comes with a purple Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card. The Personal Identification Number (PIN) and the PIN Unlock Key (PUK) are printed on the card. Other information available on the card are the Region, 7 digits Mobile Number with the operator code, 013 is for Celcom, the serial number of the card for future dealer's reference.
To get started, once you have bought the prepaid starter pack, insert the fresh SIM card into your mobile phone. To activate the X pax SIM card, make a call, select preferred language and wait for the call to be connected. It may take some time though.
Each reload gives user a validity period to make and receive calls, Short Message Service (SMS) and other Xpax services. Once the account has expired, user can only receive calls or SMS, make emergency calls and check credit balance for a period of 50 days before the account is terminated. Users need to purchase reload and a new expiry date will be given based on the reload amount. Reload comes in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) 5, 10, 30 & 50 denominator.
Dialing *118# on the mobile phone will give users access to Celcom Channel X, Celcom Broadband, Celcom promotions list and users' account info.
For International Direct Dial (IDD), users may dial based on the following command:

Celcom Xpax also provide services for users to subscribe to Facebook and Twitter via SMS. Typing a very simple command, 'F' (without quote) and send to 35665 on mobile phones, users will then be guided through commands for updating Facebook status, replying Facebook comments, notification on friend requests but subject to users setting for mobile notification on their Account Settings on Facebook profile. For Twitter via SMS, users have to type 'T' (without quote) and send to 29800 on mobile phones.
Xpax also available for Blackberry users by entering the following commands;
BB ON and send to 2882, select BB50 (Blackberry Messenger), BB100 (Blackberry Social) or BB250 (Blackberry Advance)

Other than that, there is another service called AirCash of which will enable user to conveniently reload and transfer airtime to friends and family anywhere in the world from the mobile phones. In terms of call charges, Celcom offers a very competitive rate ranging from 28 cents per minute for voice and video calls within the same network, that is, another Celcom numbers and 28 cents for 5 minutes to other networks. For SMSes, charges ranging from 1 cent per SMS within the same network and 5 cents per SMS to other networks. For internet access, Celcom offers a low, flexible and unlimited daily access at Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) 5 per day.
